Apart from painting, my life revolves around children and other animals. My interests are rural and rooted into the Dartmoor landscape from which I draw much of my inspiration. I’m a practical person interested in science and history and, as such, enjoy bringing a factual element to my work.

I attended art college in Bristol, where I specialised in salt-glazed ceramic sculpture. I am largely self-taught as a large-scale theming painter…but the interest in form, surface and texture remain in my artwork
